Technique tips for better spin class form, breathing, and performance

Here are six bite-sized tips that can help you improve your indoor cycling form and ride with confidence:

Relaxed shoulders: Roll them back, down, and away from your ears

Engaged core: Draw your belly button in toward your spine for added stability

Chest lifted: Helps with breathing and posture

Neutral spine: Avoid arching or rounding your back

Proper foot position: Ball of foot on the pedal; strap in or clip in securely

Smooth pedaling: Think smooth circles, not stomping down
